After I bought my first IBM-286, I started playing the AD&D Gold Box series of games. I was hooked. They were addictive. after playing the first 3, I bought the Collectors Edition CDROM that had 9 of the games on it. I played all of them at least twice. There have been a few module builders out there do some great work at recreating those old games, but I would love to see the NWN team "offcially" recreate those old games as "Premium Modules". I would pay to play those games again...with modern gaming technology! I wonder if there would be enough demand for this in the gamming community? Any thoughts? |

I would like to see Savage Frontiers, Krynn, or Unlimited Adventures redone perhaps. But overall, I would prefer leave these as free mods rather than having to pay again to relive the memories. _________________ Elhanan the Ancient One

NWN basically is Unlimited Adventures with a lot better official story. I wouldn't compare the actual UA story with the other Gold Box games. What would really be cool is some Buck Rogers remakes. Then I'll be impressed. I was making a game in UA until I upgraded my computer and graphics and sound were messed up from then on. I was planning to redo it in NWN but I'll probably wait until NWN2 and it will probably end up a lot different since I'll have different restrictions and freedom. |

Have any of you tried Spiderweb Software? They have some excellent games that really recreate the feel of those older games. They are shareware, so the price isn't usually too bad.
