As we announced last week, the upcoming 1.27 patch for Neverwinter Nights will add an amazing new Plot Wizard for the Toolset which allows you to easily add simple or complex plots to your modules without having to write a single script or conversation. This new Plot Wizard Tutorial will walk you through the basics of the plot wizard, and to create 3 separate plots placed in the same area.

Wow. I'd rather have the actual update  But I went through the Tutorial, and it really going to help scripting quests. I've found that the tedium of conversation conditionals, OnAcquire scripts, journal entry changes in scripts, rewards for quests, and such really takes up a LOT of time in module building. It looks like that basically all goes away - at least if it can somehow be considered to fall under the standard quest types. And the "node" concept sounds really powerful - from the Tutorial, it sounds like actors, props, etc. will be organized quite well (which I DON'T do when I build).

Damn right the node concept is powerful. I may have to take back what I said earlier, decent RP modules can now be created without any scripting. Though of course, scripting always helps  |

After reading the tutorial - what can I say?
Thank you seems a bit tame.
It's going to make a huge impact at home. My adventure will not take 6 monthts to complete (I work and have a life besides NWN). My hair will stay as is - e.g. not too grey. My wife and I will have sporadic conversations (talked to her last week. Nice lady).
I really really look forward to this new addition.
What else is there to say?
Get on with it! Release the patch now! OK? Please?
