Hello again
tsuraan, your point about the game being cheaper now, so Bio's not making as much on it......
I'm not sure it works that way, I would imagine that Bio would sll a job lot at a particular price, then it would be up to the stores to get their money back on it.
Yes? No? Me no know.....

Thanks for the new thread, Jay.
Any chance you'll reply to any of our questions? Or have Bioware employees stopped looking in here? |

I was hoping for Thoughts of Bioware on an open fire.

The official start of Winter (or end of Autumn, I can't remember which), in the northern hemisphere (whether you are in Canada or sunny Spain), is the 22nd of December. Tux Games (have an unconfirmed release date), which they claim to have received from the NWN developers (not too sure how long ago) of 2003-01-15 (international date format). To be honest I don't mind waiting, so long it is ready when it is released.
More detailed info. would be much appreciated though, the information bioware have given so far, e.g.: 'Well this week we twiddled our thumbs a bit, found some non-specific sound problems, fixed some other non-specific sound problems. Here, take a look at the animation in these screenshots so you can see just how great a job we are doing.' Just doesn't cut it, bioware might as well not bother with the progress updates if they are not going to put anything specific in there. How about a road map? |

Ummm....a thought just struck me, have you thought that the reason for the lack of recent news on this subject might be 'cos there is a surprise just around the corner?
Just a thought.

'Surprise'...hmmmn...'surprise' as in: we at BioWare have decided to have chimps complete the porting? Or, 'surprise' as in: surprise, we at BioWare just can't figure out the finer points of customer service?
I'd love to see this baby land in a couple of weeks, but I just don't see that happening. It simply isn't realistic in light of the way things have developed (pardon the pun).
Besides, if BioWare releases NWN-LC before 2003, I'll have to retract my awfully witty submission to Wired's 'Vapourware of 2002' contest. |

Stop being so optimistic . It arrives when it arrives whenever that will be...Probably just after NWN2 hits the shelves.
Lack of news doesn't mean a thing.

Quote: olivaw Ummm....well they obviously NOT stopped looking here. They have not obviously stopped looking in here. The fact that Jay closed the thread and opened a new one does not mean he read any of the contents. Perhaps Jay simply saw from the General Discussion main page that our thread had grown to 20 pages, and did what they always do: locked it and started a new one.

That very text has been in place for each successive release date estimate. Bioware is almost certainly not providing these guesstimates to TuxGames.

It's extremely frustrating for us GNU/Linux users who _really want_ to support Bioware's efforts on this game. But being in the dark makes it very difficult to remain positive. |
