Ok, so it seems easy enough to become evil, just threaten some people and WHAM, you're Hitler's protege. It's a lot harder to be good, but then again, all you really have to do is become poor, and you'll be a happy-chappy. Lawful is harder still, but then again, turn in a few crooks, and you're right as rain... but whatever happened to chaotic?
I've looted entire towns, pick-pocketed the populations of entire cities, and done numerous and plenty illegal activities at the behest of others and yet never have I noticed getting any points towards being chaotic.
What does a halfling rogue have to do to maintain his alignment?
Also, is there anyway to turn this stupid system off? I just started playing in networked games and found that MY alignment was being affected by the actions of EVERYONE ELSE!
That's just so incredibly lame it's not even remotely amusing. Why the *** have alignments at all when all you're going to do is make everybody the same goddamn alignment in a party? I was trying to play a chaotic neutral rogue, with two items that relied on my alignment to wield, and the other player was playing a monk, but we decided he would do most of the dialogue options, so I was only a few points off becoming lawful by the end of the game!
That's just ridiculous. |

You have managed to make a change towards lawful???
I catch your idea and I've tried often enough (playing a true paladin) but never ever did i manage to make a change into the law-direction. Please tell me which quests offer this possibility! Thanks a lot! |

This sounds like a PW, not the NWN-OC. _________________ -Blue Emu

Beg your pardon (PW)? - I'm right now playing the SOU-campaign. Is there something possible in that campaign?
to the original poster: In SOU you can manage to get more chaotic by opening locks. Perhaps it's also possible ot manage some shifts by pick-pocketing some official, just give it a try. |

You are known by the company you keep. In truth, however, your alignment/reputation in a party only shifts by 1 for every 3. That means, if a party memeber does something that increases his goody karma points by 3, you get 1, for being associated with that person. Of course, this can lead to tension in parties with characters with vastly disperse alignments, which is, I think, part of the idea. |
