I wasn't aware this was a NWCon event. I was hoping to take the course myself, but the timing is very bad for me, being outside North America.

If anyone does have a DM course/document/whatever that is not fixed to, or timed with some event, please consider posting a link in this thread.

What?
DM 101 is a basic introduction to the NWN DM Client. We assume you have never even explored this area of the game yet, although even experienced DMs have found a few valuable nuggets of information in the class.

Where?
We will schedule the class/game like all others on NWC. They will be Open Games and fill up on a first come, first served basis.

When?
These classes run several times per month. Usually every other Tuesday night during the hours of 8p and 12a Eeastern Time. We also run classes for people in GMT friendly time zones on Sundays, again usually twice a month. The class runs for 60-90 minutes depending on the group and the questions/grasp of the material.

Why?
To encourage more games on NWC and to show potential DMs how fun and easy the client is.
The Process After you get signed up to the game, when it comes time for the game.. logon to the specified ip AS a DM, please create a DM with your NWC Nickname. Once you log-in, have a seat and when the time arrives we will begin.. we do an intro, go over the class rules and jump right in... In the class you will perform a series of tasks to make sure you are following the material covered... when we get done... you and hopefully a few others should be ready to run your own adventure with ease on NWC. The NWN DM Client is very flexible and powerful... after the DM 101 you should be able to perform all of the basic tasks required to begin running your own adventures. And as in any environment for learning usually we ALL learn something in each session.
