It took little time for fans to break the boundaries of the Aurora Toolset in pursuit of telling their personal stories when Neverwinter Nights was released, and now a pair of creative souls have teamed up to create an NWN Machinima project. Read how and why Adam Freese and Tawmis have produced a series of video shorts that bring out the humorous side of being a hero.

Great stuff. Really great stuff. This goes well with Generika (hope that Generika gets going again too...) I'm a big fan of machinima in general, this seemed pretty well done and I had already been hoping someone had done stuff with NWN engine too.
Hope we see more longer episodes in future - the first episodes were pretty short and ep7 was more like the correct length to me.

As Adam said - thanks for everyone who has given them a look! It's been an incredible ride from us doing this just because we thought it'd be fun - to getting mentioned in PC GAMER UK (as "The Bill & Ted of Dungeons & Dragons!") to this interview with Jay at Bioware!
Talk about walking on clouds right now...
I just think it's incredible how supportive Bioware is of their community and its members! So hats off to an incredible company!

I have really enjoyed the series so far. I wish you had the time to put episodes out more quickly. I hope you have plans for these two guys to get to the dragon. I'd love to see your ranger (who became a ranger by camping out in his uncle's back yard) summon an animal companion, too.
Anyway, I am looking forward to whatever misadventures you have planned.

Never let it be said that we don't listen... the Animal Companion for the Ranger... as soon as you said that an incredible idea sprang into my mind! (Will have to give you props somehow in the video for the idea that's now running wild through my head!)

Once the season is done will you be making a dvd for release? if so I would be interested in getting a copy of it. Also...
I was unable to download episode 3. well I downloaded it and the zip file was there but in the zip file nothing was present. every other zip file had the files in it.
I tried through machismo and your own website.
Great work overall, humerous, exciting, and perhaps eerie that it draws us in so easily.
Could one of the characters have a sibling that is either something for them to live up to ... or an annoying pain in the butt.
Just wondering.

The DVD is something I would LOVE to do. No doubt about that. However, we would have to talk with the folks of Bioware and such, about how sales would work out (due to the game engine and visuals being copyrighted to them). I, personally, wouldn't even care for my own profit needs - to see our episodes on DVD for sale would make me happy! (But of course, if there was some profit, I certainly wouldn't complain! I mean, for once, I'd be getting paid to do something I love!)
As for Episode 3. Odd. Check the site again. I put up a temp. mirror site (through Adam's domain), and see if you can download Episode 3 from there.

Also...
If anyone would like to help with hosting some of the videos, on a temp basis... it'd be much appreciated. We have 80gigs of download a month... and we have already gone over our limit. (So I am not sure how the site is still up... but hey...)
Right now, we have the videos on Adam's domain... I am going to be putting them on my domain probably tonight... After this month though - things should resume back to normal, where we usually use no more than 50% or so of our bandwidth.
So if you'd like to help out, just let me know. Post the URL here.

Well, I finally dusted off my account here to comment on this excellent machima. Congrats guys! This is Meta of Antioch from the GiantITP boards, Tawmis, but I migrated over here to show my support.
Really, it's awesome you guys are doing something creative with the toolset, it actually compelled me to open the toolset myself and just play around like old times (I still haven't produced anything really, but I enjoy being a Chaotic Evil tailor and Interior Dungeon Decorator ). Peter and Grayson are classic slacker characters, and the dialog you guys give them is so natural. The other characters are wonderfully eccentric, and I'm still waiting for the appearance of Pawl the Dorf!
Hopefully you guys can get some money out of this too, whether DVDs or some other means.
