Are you a wizard or bard struggling to face the hordes of gnolls and undead in the Silver Marches? Finding other henchman unsuited to the task of being your bodyguard? How'd you like a tank of a henchman that's a whirling dervish of holy destruction? Well, look no further than Mischa Waymeet, a servant of Mystra with a cheerful "girl-next-door" attitude, but don't get her angry as she has a sword full of smite. Complete with all standard henchman voice-overs, interjections, major and minor NPC dialogue interaction, and she even opens up paladin specific quests if she's with you.

She will interact with you and other NPCs just like any other henchman. She levels up, she dies and returns to the spawn point at Drogan's. She behaves as close to a paladin as I could get without uploading the entire module (which is a no-no, and why it is an erf package). She will not join with an evil PC, and she will leave you should you turn evil, and will not return until the interlude. If you kill civilians, she bails immediately. You can command her to cast her spells (all buffs except a few healing spells) *before* battle (on yourself or on her), so she will just fight.

Leveling package:

Paladin errant:

Level 1: Power Attack, Weapon Focus: Longsword
Level 3: Cleave
Level 6: Great Cleave
Level 9: Improved Critical: Longsword
Level 12: Weapon Focus: Heavy Crossbow
Level 15: Extra Turning
Level 18: Skill Focus: Persuade

Instructions for use: Download the zip file and extract the contents to your NWN\erf folder. Open the toolset. If you get the "welcome" popup, close that by clicking cancel. In top left part of the screen, go to file, then open. Click the open campaign modules button. Select XP1-Chapter 1. You'll get a warning saying that this file can only be opened in read only mode (it's there to protect your patching ability). Select yes to continue opening it. You'll then get another warning if you also have HotU that the module doesn't require HotU. Select yes again. Next, in the top left corner of the screen, you'll see the file button again. Go to file, import, then navigate to your NWN\erf folder. Select the mischafinal0621.erf. Highlight it, then click open. If you don't see that erf, you did not extract to the proper location. Try again.

You should now see a screen saying something about missing resources. Don't worry, they're not missing, they're just not in the erf (to make it smaller). Select yes. It will then ask you to overwrite existing resources. Select all. Click ok, click ok again.

Save XP1-Chapter 1 as SoU-Chapter 1. Repeat the process with the Interlude and Chapter 2, simply replacing the "XP1" with SoU for the save name.

>>Important Note<<

Do NOT build module. Simply "save as" with the following names:

SoU-Chapter 1
SoU-Interlude
SoU-Chapter 2

Once you have all this done (should take about 5 minutes), open SoU-Chapter 1 from your other modules list and begin play. Enjoy!

Thanx I'll reinstall her then. Well worth it and recommended to everyone save feminists with no sense of humour.

Hiya!

Just out of curiosity, did you update Mischa and make her smarter, or is she still a little stupid (i.e. INT 8 ) ?

Cheers!

Is there something extra I need to do if I want to start the Interlude with Mischa without doing Ch 1?

I did Ch 1 as a LG wizard and Mischa as my henchie. I got to the Interlude, then had to uninstall NWN and reinstall. In the process, I accidentally lost my saves. I rebuilt my character and imported into SoU-Interlude. But there is no Mischa.

I inported the erf file again, thinking maybe something was wrong, but the same thing - no pally.

She's got low INT, but good WIS. With the voiceovers I have available, it still makes sense.

No, Mischa wasn't built to appear there, only to follow you there if she was your henchman (on the assumption that if you are using the erf package, you are using Mischa). Saved some script time. You'd have to use a sort of override script to enable her for the interlude, or replay chapter 1. I can help you with the former if desired, but it is a little technical.

Was something changed so that you can't open the campaign modules? When i enter the toolset, i go to file, open, and all it shows is the Demo modules and contest and all those, but there's no "Open Campaign Modules" button, just open and cancel.

To the left of the Open and Cancel buttons should be two radio buttons labelled Normal Modules and Campaign Modules. (Select the latter.)

IF you haven't played some (or any) of the campaign modules yet, there is a way to get around this. Normally, when you finish the modules, some codewords are added to your nwnplayer.ini file. But you can just add them if you haven't played them yet. So, browse to your NWN main folder (usually C:\NeverwinterNights\NWN). Open the nwnplayer.ini file. Under Game Options and just before Server Options, add these lines:

CODEWORD=hacktastic
CODEWORD XP2=barkeater
CODEWORD XP1=ffrodriguez

Save the file and open the toolset. Click the open campaign modules button and repeat the intructions from the vault page or sticky post here. You should be all set.

Everytime a new release comes out whether it's patches, PRC, CEP etc I'm always telling myself, you must write those damn codes down somewhere safe. Last time I did. Er where? Thank god for google despite the way they gave in to the other PRC.

Just wondering if you were still going to post the 1.67 version? It has been a few days. I tried out the current version for a short time and it seems great. I can't wait to play all of SOU with Mischa. Gives me a reason to play SOU again. Thanks for making this.

Having a bit of technical problems updating it with the paladin content. I've spoken with Maximus and this should get resolved in the next few days.

Thanks for the information. I can't wait to play all of SOU after you do upload the file.
