And just when I thought there'd be no new premium modules.
Does this mean there might be a sequel to Witch's Wake?
Also, not sure of the video requirement. I have an nvidia 4000 MX 128 meg card. Will that work? |

I'm rather surprised as well! After the public announcement about Atari pulling funding/support/whatever for Premium Modules and all the modules that are labeled 'former premium modules' on the vault... What made this one different? BioWare's involvement? It seems odd that a module like Darkness Over Daggerford wouldn't release and then we still see more.
Mind you, I'm not complaining! Just curious. _________________ "BioWare is fueling my fire like a teenager with arson charges in his near future..." ~BlackdogGT |

Here's Georg Zoeller's answer to that question to someone in the NWN General Discussion forum:

You can believe us when we say, we would have liked to give an official store release to all the premium modules tht were in production when the decision to discontinue the program came down. Everyone involved with those modules has put incredible effort into them and we would have loved to give all of them their official release.
As for WCoC, it was the most complete of the premium modules at the time the decision to cancel the program was handed down to us, in fact it was very close to release.
Atari and other parties were very impressed with the amount content and quality of work that had been done and how close to completion it was, so they changed their mind and decided to make an exception for this module.
I'm sure Robert's persistence about the matter didn't hurt either.

First off, thank you Robert, and thank you BioWare!! Your persistance saved the DLA horses (plus we get a great module to boot!), and for that I am more grateful than I can truly express.
Secondly... Wow!
Third, I assume that horses and other goodies from this module will be released in an update at some later date? Right? Since we can't touch it in the premium module, I sure HOPE this is the case!
Fourth... Wow! Wow! Wow!
Fifth, I assume this premium module will require an online connection in the same manner as the others?
Thanks guys! Awesome!

Well, I can't say yet what may or may not be included if we make a 1.69 patch, but I can confirm that you do need the internet connection, as with Pirates or Infinite Dungeons, for online authentication to be able to play.

Weird, a smily face then an evil one... which are you, Chris?
Oh and awesome release by the way, the game has just got even better over the years since its release thanks to Bioware's continued support and an extremely talented community. |

Thanks, Chris! I understand the need to not promise anything at this juncture. I certainly HOPE it gets released in a later update, though. Horses, particularly DLA horses, have been an almost religious quest for some of us.
Meanwhile, I have an adventure to play, and horses to ride!!! Woot!

Why did you put this stupid internet authentication in this module .. I wont be buying it ... I bought Infinate Dungeons and Pirates of the sword coast and I wasted my money as I dont play them and I wont be wasting my money on this one either ... (Thanks to all those who have posted other modules, I really enjoy them ... thans again)

To be honest I don't mind the authentication (but that's probably because I have 1mb ADSL). You do understand why Bioware implemented it, right? It is to stop piracy (not the good, 'yarrr' PotSC piracy, the bad kind) so Bioware can continue to afford providing content like this. |

Basically because it's a Premium Module, and that's part of the package with them.

Certainly, that's your right. However, from the looks of the little bit I've played so far, you're really missing out on something quite special.
But you only need to be connected when loading a new or saved game, so it's not that intrusive. _________________ It's rogue, dammit, ROGUE!!! |
