grammar is stupid, the only time i get chewed out for not adhereing to the strict but nonsensicle rules of the english language is in writing communities,
this guy just needs to learn how to use . and maybe a bit of spelling, although its no more annoying than Seeing FTR or MNK in peoples posts here. |

Anyway, If you want help give me a little bit more specifics. What race do you want? What job do you want him/her/it to do? Is it a Melee Mage or a bombardier? Do you want to learn the holy cheeses? What kind of skill level are we talking about (Are you still pushing the 'Recommended' Button)?

well i want basically a mage tht cand stand on its own but can still do baasically all spells and for race elf id think but imm willing to change tht and i hit the random button with new builds but i mainly put points in concentration spellcraft spot and lisen (because in the gaem their are a lot of rouges) |

Sorc RDD...
Can cast and fight. Although, I have no experience in casters, that just an idea that can work for the OC. I prefer fighters.

Elven Sorcerer that can fight and cast spells?
hm... Try this:
19 Sorc/1 Paladin
Elven
14- STR
8 - DEX
14- CON
8 - WIS
10- INT
16- CHA
Progression:
lvl 1-8 Sorc Skills: Concentration, Spellcraft
lvl 9 Paladin
lvl 10-20 Sorc Skills: Concentration, Spellcraft
Feats to get: Still spell* , Spell focus(Any), Spell Penetration, Greater Spell focus (any), Greater Spell Penetration, Weapon focus(any), Metamagic Spell**.
*VERY IMPORTANT, or else you won't be able to cast in armor
** Empowered Spell or Maximized Spell
Spells:
Lvl 1: Truestrike
lvl 2: Flameweapon, Bull's Strength, Endurance
lvl 3: Greater magic weapon
lvl 4: Improve Invisibility
Basic melee mage build, should work with OC, you won't have any problem meleeing minions but don't try to kill bosses with your sword.

Those will need to be adjusted slightly. Elves cannot start with 8 DEX, and you've only spent 28 of 30 starting points. No big deal, as I'd suggest tossing the extra into either DEX or INT.
Also worthy of note is you'll take a 20% XP penalty unless you take Pally as your final level, so the suggested levelling scheme means a penalty from level 9 onward.

Ooops, My bad. reflex now after the nth human character.
Problem with taking pally too late is that: he has to burn a feat early on to get martial prof or else he won't be able to melee at lower levels. Technically he COULD use a spear or a quarterstaff as his focus weapon, but its not quite the same as a good longsword.
20% penalty isn't that bad in the OC, you'll end with lvl 16 instead of 17.

I agree, but to some people an XP penalty is anathema, so I thought it should be pointed out.
