Great guys! Thanks for thinking of us mac users.
Is this download only, or will there be a retail version in stores? _________________ We're going to a party, don't eat the furniture. |

Seconded, even though I'm not a Mac user. It's good to see things not sticking to just PC. _________________ Soar with the breeze and you'll reach the clouds. |

I've bought the game last week and played through it twice on a iMac Aluminium (3GHz and NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GS).
The game performs beautifully. The only option one has to turn off is the antialiasing: it produces a huge lag. But since one can play at the monitor's native resolution (1920*1200), the game looks very good even without that option turned on.
I was a bit wary of "Cider-powered" games before, but obviously for (relatively) older games the graphics of which are not so demanding by today's standards, it works very well.
I have two gripes though.
First, there is no manual included, no PDF, no "read me", nothing: getting a .pdf version of the original game instructions on the disk image would have made my first run through the game much easier. Maybe you could send registered users a link to download such a manual?
Then, there is absolutely no way to register the Mac version in my Bioware account and so to gain access to the "game-owner" content on the JE web site. I need to enter a UPC code supposedly contained in a "read me" file, except that there is no such file included with the Mac version of the game. So instructions on how to proceed to register the Mac version of the game would be welcome.
Thanks again for bringing that game to the Mac.
I'm looking forward to hearing from you. |
