Spoilers ahead : After some hours of gameplay, I can say that all NPCs that joined me are special : Alistair - too damn funny not to have Morrigan - too damn dark and sarcastic in one way Dog - Simply perfect. Well written and also a lot of fun to have around Leliana - much different than I expected. Much more mystical rather than serial killer, which in one way makes her unique. Sten - Much much more serious than I could ever imagine. Somehow he reminds me of someone shy to talk. Short and brief answers for almost no question. Zevran - first seen, thought to say : that bastard. Later when took down, the initial conversation is too funny to refuse his offer. Becomes even funnier with his funny accent and that strange pedophilic face with blond hair Wynne : calm, optimist from the first impressions. Wants to do some good on the second impression. Heckfully essential in a melee party.
So, if I am not wrong, the only two missing my call right now are Oghren (where the hell is that one hiding? That's the main reason I thought this game would be funny!) and Shale (which I know where to find her, but after seeing the video, wouldn't like ending in the hands of a dragon. One super small version of a dragon was VERY enough to eliminate my party). _________________ You REALLY want to buy Dragon Age Origins. Seriously. Do it. |

SPOILERS: (in a sense)
I've gone through and beat the game. Alistair is my favorite by far. <3 He's hilarious and I think has the most depth to him, in comparison with the other chars. Behind him, I would say Sten is my second choice. He's really... different, once you get to know his story.
The Bard, Leliana (?), has alot of story, but I found her a little boring... maybe if I romance her, I'll get a more interesting story/plot. Zev is kinda the same way, I liked him better but I kinda cut him off because I was pursuing Alistair. We had alot of dialogue at first... he's really flirty and I told him he needn't bother and after that there were a few interesting moments but not much happened.
Morrigan is so mysterious... After playing all the way thorugh, she's still very ambigous to me.
I recruited Oghren late in the game so I feel like I didn't relly give him a fair shot but he seemed a little shallow/underdeveloped to me...at least from what I could tell.
Also, the Dog is really cool, they have a couple of cute cutscences with him... and I always loved the dialogue between him and my other party members as I was running around. He's also REALLY strong... he pulled me out of a few tough situations.
I absolutetly love this game. BioWare did an amazing job! I can't wait to play through it again and again! Maybe after I experience the romance plots with the other chars I'll feel diferently but I'm pretty much in-love with Alistair right now |

I've not had the good fortune to play the game yet (curse my horrible computer and my current shortage of funds!), but Loghain seems like the most interesting choice to me by far, followed closely by Morrigan and Alistair. I cannot WAIT to play through the game; it certainly seems like BioWare's most promising effort since Baldur's Gate or the original KotoR, and that says a hell of a lot. |

Morrigan is definitely my favorite NPC. Her linguistic ability is nothing short of epic, and her back and forth with Alister is fantastic. So as to not spoil it for anyone who has not beat the game yet I feel a little cheated with how things ended up with Morrigan. It almost seems as if you ended it in that way because you haven't thought of anything yet; if you would have given us just a bit more information about her at the end there would have been more closure, instead i feel a little cheated after an otherwise legendary game. |

Interests on main TANK is Alistair for sure, Morrigan does good DPS damage if you train her.
Is this what we are talking about right?...Edited By Donovan on 11/13/09 11:48 |

All heroes good at each of them the history. All game has passed with Morrigan, Lelian, Alistair. A voice I give Morrigan. The history of this woman is not finished and it is the big minus of developers. I hope there will be a continuation of game and programmers will make happy players with the lyrical happy end. After a long adventure the hero is obliged to have loving woman Morrigan, the son and the house on a bog. |

All but one of you fails. Even Bioware fails for not even putting the most obvious answer as an option.
SHALE
Shale is hilarious and makes a great tank. Excellently written and perfectly voiced. |

might be a spoiler!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think that Sandal is the best party npc although he does not go with you except the party camp where he enchants so i count him as a party member and to quote him "ENCHANTMENTS!!!!" |

For me Shale extra wins after my first ended game. Alistair lost EVERYTHING. His funny quotes won't keep up with the character, so he gets even worse than Zevran. I kill everyone that squees for that guy. Oghern on the other hand, after seeing a pair of nasty perverted quotes on the party females, gets very close to Shale. Too bad he isn't a romance option.
Also the son of the dwarven merchant is great, I so laughed at his "ENCHANTMENT!" _________________ You REALLY want to buy Dragon Age Origins. Seriously. Do it. |
