Is there any way to prevent a client from logging on to a server with edited 2da's.
First a player was able to cast Polymorph Self on another player so I just edited the script. Now players have figured out how to get 2 or 3 extra feats at level 1 and for some reason elc isnt preventing them from logging on to the server. _________________ Neverwinter Nights Lexicon http://www.nwnlexicon.com/

You need scripted ELC, as the bioware one isn't very good. There are a number of options on the vault, if you don't want to build your own. I'll share an older version of mine, if you like, though it requires nwnx_letoscript (it verifies prereqs of every feat).

I have been searching the vault and I cant seem to find exactly what I need. I downloaded one script but it just checked the number of feats and skillpoints and compared it to a players race and class. Most of the other scripts only checked stuff like HP, AC, and weapon properties.

Im not using Legendary Levels so my ELC will remain checked. I am pretty sure this will cover extra armor class and ability points. I also have a script to prevent exploiting hit points. I am using SimTools but I dont have the file hgll_func_inc.
Is there a way to force a client to use a file in the override folder and not their own? It seems this works only for certain files and not all. I really dont want to make a script to cycle through all the feats and check each one.

No, there isn't. You'll need to prevent them from getting them via script. As explained in the linked threads, bioware's ELC doesn't hack it, and you don't need to use legendary levels, just the includes.

I have a script from that link you posted that cycled through most of the epic feats. I can easily edit this to suit my needs. It would be so much easier to just drop a file in the override folder and not worry about it though.

Just a few more thing..... After a player makes a toon with edited files and the character bic is on my server pc. Can that player still add invalid feats as they level up?
My onclient enter script runs the check if players xp = 0. later on in the script I strip useless items, make other items more server friendly, give xp and gold etc. So after first login the check wont be ran again.
In my levelup script I also check for epic feats if less than level 21. I will prolly leave this in for a while to check the regular players. Its been running for a day 1/2 now and it hasnt found anyone so not really sure if its needed if the players cant take invalid after character creation.

Yes, client 2das are used for levelup. There are a number of exp_lo%its there, for feats and skills. You need to keep verifying on levelup, if you want to be absolutely certain that characters are legit, though such ex_plo*its are prevented, though they're much less common - I suspect because most lack the patience for them.
