I want to play an NWN version of zork -- I jut can't deal with mazes done entirely with text (I've tried). The NWN2 version is a far bigger download, but i think it might be better since the NWN2 engine is more versatile (sorry if I offend anyone; i'm not criticising the builder's work). I think Chaos Theocrat might still post here (shadow priest avatar?) but I'm not sure. _________________ Modular CEP ERFs (Hall of Fame... Not): Click Here Doors, Doors, Doors!: Click Here |

Since they're adapted for different engines and the adaptations were realized by different authors, it seems, I'd say it's probably worth it playing both versions and appreciate each in their own way. It might be fun comparing them, too.
If you only have time and nerves for one version, go for the engine you think more suitable or the version that looks more tempting to you. Judging from the votes you can't go wrong with either one.
So far I've played none of the two - so I'm not really qualified to post here, heh - but I liked "Crypt of Medea" and I trust Chaos_Theocrat to make good modules. Personally, I'd play both though (if only my system would let me ). |

Personally, i played the NWN2 version of ZOrk and found it wonderful. I think you'll REALLY appreciate the artwork that went into it. There isn't a lot of character detail, which really adds to that "random adventurer" feel. Outside of the White House with the Mailbox, spend some time looking around and noticing the nice use of monotone colors throughout the area. The inside gets better as well! |
