I just got Mass Effect on Steam and it seems to be working fine, now I want to register it here. Mainly because I hear you can get some downloadable content for Mass Effect, is that right?
This site asks for a CD key in order to register, now obviously I don't have a CD or a box, so I don't know how to register.
Any advice on what I’m supposed to do? Or is it not necessary to register to get the DLC? |

According to this, Mass Effect from Steam should have come with a product key. If it didn't, you may need to contact Steam for help.
There is downloadable content for Mass Effect, but you'll need to either find or obtain that product key first. _________________ Soar with the breeze and you'll reach the clouds.Edited By Rheannan on 11/10/09 12:33 |

in case you haven't gotten it yet, you right click on your game copy inside steam, there should be an option to view cdkey
then there's a button to copy it to the clipboard.
input that and you should be fine |

Yeah, I figured it out last night. I've now registered the game and downloaded the DLC and am playing happily so far. I just wish that they would tell you how to find the CD key, in the readme or something, it's just hidden away there on a right click menu inside steam. Very difficult to find unless you know what you're looking for. Edited By Murf09 on 11/12/09 16:16 |
