Boss Monsters: G'Zhorb, the All-Seeing Eye

Few know the language of the vicious floating orbs known as beholders, and fewer still have been able to make sense of their intentions. Strange and unpredictable as they may be, one thing is certain: all those who float through the corridors of Undermountain bow to the will of the one known as G'Zhorb, whose name roughly translated means 'the All-Seeing Eye.'

The question is, whose will does G'Zhorb bow to? Unbeknownst to all but a few, Halaster developed a magical device that contains within it a tiny space into which no beholder can see. It is worse than darkness, worse even than a void. To them it is a pure negation of sight. The very existence of Halaster's device has driven G'Zhorb to the brink of madness and the rest of his beholders with him. G'Zhorb now serves Halaster's every whim, fearful the wizard might make good on his threat to loose the unseeable space upon the world, allowing it to consume all Faerûn.
