Passengers and Crew of the Midnight Rose
Do ye be yearnin' for the fine salty air against yer skin, swabbie? Do ye crave the endless waves and tales of high adventure? Well then, welcome aboard the Midnight Rose, the most notorious ship ever to sail the untamed seas. Let me introduce you to the crew o' the Rose:
Captain Allendry
Some say grizzled ol' Captain Allendry has sailed the Midnight Rose in and out o' every honest port in the Sea of Swords, slowly building his fortune through honest trade. Others suggest he has frequented some not-so-honest ports as well, and that he spent some time as a fine Jack Tar.
First Mate Nisar
Hailing from deepest jungles of Chult, your crewmate Nisar has spent the bulk o' his life at sea and more than half o' that aboard the Rose. His fiery temper has earned him a reputation as a shore-leave brawler, but his honest nature and unshakeable loyalty make for a First Mate worthy of Allendry's trust.
Rahman Madani
A Calishite wizard, art collector, and distinguished member of Fourth Circle of the Shifting Sands, Rahman Madani recently unearthed an impressive and mysterious statue from the sands of the Anauroch Desert. He has hired the Midnight Rose to carry the statue to the lucrative art auctions in Calimshan, far to the south.
Lady Tasina Alcrest
An enigmatic noblewoman of unknown lineage and no fixed address, Lady Tasina booked last-minute passage aboard the Midnight Rose without even asking its intended destination. For a noblewoman, she seems strangely at home among humble sailors.
Poly the Parrot
Like many old salts, Captain Allendry has claimed a wayward parrot as his companion and taught it how to speak. Now, if only he could teach the darn bird to shut up again. Cowardly, flea-ridden, and a wretched singer, Poly has been called "The Dreadful Curse o' the Midnight Rose" on more than one occasion.
