1.01: Where can I find multiplayer information, set-up instructions, and tips. (Back to Top)

Please read the Pirates of the Sword Coast multiplayer information page for complete information.

1.02: Is this a whole new game? (Back to Top)

No. This is a Neverwinter Nights adventure that has a new and exciting storyline, new art content, dynamic characters, and new features, but it is not an entirely new game or a full expansion pack.

1.03: Do I need the original Neverwinter Nights game to run this adventure? (Back to Top)

Yes, you must have Neverwinter Nights, and the Shadows of Undrentide and Hordes of the Underdark expansion packs installed to play this adventure. View the Neverwinter Nights Platinum Edition webpage for purchase information.

1.04: Can I use my own character to play this adventure? (Back to Top)

Yes, but it is strongly recommended that your character be between 5th and 10th level when starting to play the adventure because that is the range of starting levels it was created for.

1.05: Can I take my own items to play this adventure? (Back to Top)

You will be stripped of certain items upon starting this adventure to avoid any interference with quests. You will also receive a small alotment of new items, including a uniform that identifies you as a sailor of the Midnight Rose. To make sure an unaltered version of your character is available for future adventures, you are advised to save a copy of your character as a separate local vault file before you begin this adventure.

Follow these instructions:

Open your Neverwinter Nights folder and locate the "localvault" folder.

If the character is not already listed drag the file from its current location into the localvault folder.

To make a copy simply click and hold the right mouse button and move your file to an empty location in that folder.

Release the button.

You will be given a choice of "Copy here" or "Create Shortcut".

Select "Copy here".

A new file will be created. Now you can safely use your character in the new adventure. If you wish to use your original character simply use the new character file you created instead of the original.
