Dusting himself off, Deekin discovers that his favorite writing pen has been broken in his long fall. Glancing around this strange room he finds himself in, he anxiously wrings his hands. Curved spidery designs weave their way around each piece of dark furniture in this murky place. Getting more and more agitated that he isn't recording his heroic deeds, he begins to search the room for a new pen.

"Aha! Here be new pen! Hmmm... someone not be very good housekeeper, Deekin thinkings. What all these papers be? Maybe our stalwart hero finds great, lost magics! Either that or it be grocery list. Deekin just hopes 'bruised kobold' not be on it."
